It was a joy to feed our XC team last night! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make it happen. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support these athletes!

We were grateful for the opportunity to feed the varsity football team tonight and welcome Pro Football Hall of Famer and Alabama legend John Hannah to share with the players.

We’re thankful for our coaches, players, and the opportunity to serve our community. Praying for a great season ahead!

Yesterday morning, we placed a Bible in the hands of our 1st and 6th graders as they step into a new season in our Children’s and Youth Ministries. But before we sent them forward, our deacons gathered around these students and their families and prayed over them.

May the Word we placed in their hands today take root in their hearts for a lifetime. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

This is TELEIOS.

“Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity (teleios) with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.” -Ephesians 4:13

Teleios isn’t a destination we’ve already reached. It’s the direction we’re headed. The goal isn’t just knowing more about Jesus, but becoming more like Jesus-growing in maturity, deepening in faith, and continually moving toward Christ.

Our students had a great evening tubing, eating pizza, and spending time together in God’s Word.

The Bible study centered on 1 Timothy 4:12, reminding our students that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to make an impact for Christ “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

We want to thank the Gray family for opening up their home and sharing their boat with us!
