Today, as a Riverview Lutheran Church & School family, we pause in gratitude.

We remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we live in freedom today. The freedom to worship, to learn, and to gather together as a community.

We also remember the families who carry that loss every day, and we hold them in prayer.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

Today we remember. Today we give thanks. Today we pray.

This is why we have Memorial Day.

🌳 Join us this summer for The Tree of Life — a cross-generational Bible study for the whole church family!

Beginning Sunday, May 31 at 9:20 AM in the Fellowship Hall, we’ll explore 10 key Bible accounts that trace God’s promise of salvation from beginning to end. Adults, teens, and children will learn together and grow together in God’s Word.

Families who participate may also select free devotional resources to continue the conversation at home throughout the week.

We give thanks to God and congratulate these graduates who began their journey at Riverview and have now reached this milestone at Fox Valley Lutheran 🤍💙

The Lord has been faithful through every step. Shaping, guiding, and sustaining you along the way.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Please note that there will be no Bible Study on Sunday, May 24. Instead, join us between services for a special Volunteer Appreciation Coffee Hour served in the church lobby. Come enjoy coffee and a donut, fellowship, and time together as we celebrate and thank all those who serve to the glory of God at Riverview! We are grateful for the many hands and hearts that make ministry possible.

That’s what today is. The laughter, the friendships, the memories you’ve made here… this is your right now.

As you head into high school, take Riverview with you… your faith, your kindness, and everything that’s shaped you.
