Last night we had our final park meet-up. We met at 1000 Islands Environmental Center for an evening of hiking. We saw pelicans, cranes, an eagle, a chipmunk, and even many deer. See if you can find the deer in the final picture. We worked on our hiking badge as well as the bird/ornithology badge.

Remember to order your Uniforms and handbooks for the coming year!
Handbooks will be required this year so that badgework can be signed off in them.
Girls that come in full uniform the first 2 meetings will be able to pick out prizes. This includes white shirt, and khakis/navy/black pants or skirt for Tenderhearts through Pioneers. Patriots wear red shirts and the same color bottoms as the younger girls.

Pen pal registration is open and closes 9/30. Log in to your AHG Family account to sign your girl up for a pen pal through AHG. Girls enrolled in the pen pal program also get a patch at the end of the year.

The threat of rain did not stop us from another summer meet-up last night. The girls learned about our new theme of the year Victorious. We made a dandelion craft, went through a devotional and still managed to get out on the playground to play.
It was great seeing both new and returning families! There is one more summer meet up this summer before our new year starts.

We've been working on the Birdwatching badge this summer. What is your favorite bird to spot? The girls have seen robins, red-wing blackbirds, and sparrows.
We have two more opportunities this summer for the girls to work on the Birdwatching part of their bird badge. If you have a girl interested in joining us please send us a message for the details

AHG Troop 1857 is praying you all had a safe 4th of July Weekend!
With the start of July, we are getting closer to the start of the new year of AHG starting in just a couple months.
This is a reminder to get registered/re-registered with the troop. If you need help or have any questions, please send us a message.
We have a lot of really fun things planned for the upcoming year, but in order to have these all a success we need more volunteers as well. Please reach out to find a spot that would work for you to help mentor these girls! 😀

All volunteers must register with Ahg, pass a background check, and do an online training.

We had a great 2025/2026 year of American Heritage Girls. We had 4 girls advancing to new levels during our end of the year ceremony. We also had one girl receive her Abigail Adam’s award.
This year the badges we did were Native American, Priceless, Home care and repair, Textile arts, and Zoology. We volunteered at the humane society and visited a nursing home. We had multiple events with Trail Life as well including bowling, pine wood derby and roller skating.
Thanks everyone for a great year!
