Romans 8:14–17 reminds us that we are not alone and we are not defined by fear. Through God’s Spirit, we are adopted into His family as His children. Because of this, we can confidently call on Him as our loving Father.

As children of God, we are heirs to His promises and share in the hope, purpose, and inheritance found in Christ. Even when life brings challenges, we can find comfort knowing we belong to Him and are deeply loved.

Today, remember: You are God’s child. You are known, valued, and never walking alone.

Matthew 28:16–20 reminds us of one of Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples: to go into the world, make disciples, baptize, and teach others to follow Him.

What stands out is that even though some of the disciples still had doubts, Jesus still called them to His mission. He didn’t wait for perfect faith or perfect people. Instead, He promised His presence: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This passage is a reminder that we are called to share God’s love, encourage others, and live out our faith wherever we are. We don’t do it alone. Christ goes with us every step of the way.

As we begin a new week, may we remember that our faith is not meant to be kept to ourselves. We are called to be a light, to love our neighbors, and to trust that God is working through us, even when we feel uncertain.

In Numbers 11:24–30, God placed His Spirit not only on Moses, but also on seventy elders so they could help lead and care for the people together. When two men began prophesying outside the gathering, some were concerned, but Moses responded with humility and wisdom, saying he wished all of God’s people could experience His Spirit. This passage reminds us that God’s presence, gifts, and calling are not limited to one person — He works through many people to encourage, strengthen, and serve the community together.

May we celebrate the gifts God places in others and remain open to how He chooses to move through His people.

On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit filled the followers of Jesus with courage, power, and unity. People from many nations heard God’s message in their own language, showing that God’s love is for everyone. Acts 2:1–21 reminds us that the Holy Spirit still moves through ordinary people to share hope, grace, and the love of Christ.

At Desert Chapel United Methodist Church, community is at the center of everything we do. We strive to create a welcoming place where people feel supported, connected, and genuinely cared for.

From partnering with local schools to provide holiday meals for families in need, to hosting small groups, mental health conversations, fellowship gatherings, and congregational care opportunities, our church is committed to walking alongside people in meaningful ways. We believe faith is lived out not only on Sundays, but through compassion, service, and authentic relationships every day.

Our church family continues to grow through shared experiences like choir performances, potlucks, fellowship events, leadership classes, and outreach initiatives that strengthen both our congregation and the wider community.
