Hebrews 11:1 says
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is about trusting God. We know he is our father and we know he has an immense amount of love for us. So we should be able just trust that he is moving on our behalf without having to see or understand it all.

When We look around this world it can seem very scary. Wars and rumors of war. Lots of natural disasters. So much lawlessness everywhere. Government officials so divided. In 2 Timothy chapter 3 we are told these things will happen. The important thing is that you we keep our focus on Jesus right now. God is still in control and we can trust him to care for us. It’s not a time for us to be troubled or afraid. Instead it’s a time for us to look forward with great expectations knowing Jesus is coming.

In Matthew 6:9-13 we have the Lord’s Prayer.

This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.

It’s important to notice here how Jesus began this prayer. He began with “our father”. He didn’t say “my father”. He said “our father”. Sometimes as Christians we fail to recognize our sonship (or daughtership). In 1 John 3:1 it says
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
He wants us to be and recognize that we are his children. Let’s approach God today as his children.

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

If we can just understand the depth of his love everything else in our lives would just come together so beautifully.

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

1Cor tells us that this is what love is. 1 John4:8 tells us that God is love.
1 John 4:8: "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."
We need to realize that God IS all of these things. When speak to God, when we seek God, when we expect from God, when we obey God, we need to realize this. No human can fully love us this way, but God does. We just need to know that with a love like that he will always do what’s best for us. We shouldn’t have to understand what God is doing to trust him. They way he loves us we just know he is always going to do great things for us.

No matter how bad our situation fells sometimes if we just take time to look around us we will see God’s Grace. Let’s take time today to just examine our lives and just thank our Heavenly Father for all the things he continues to bless us with.
