After August wildfires in eastern Washington destroyed about 700 structures, Pacific Northwest Conference teams used UMCOR’s new solar suitcases in Spokane. Units now power Early Response Team tool and shower trailers, reducing reliance on gas generators. Conference disaster co-coordinator Dana Bryson first tried the technology at annual conference in June.
