Creating a Climate of Community continued
Last week we wrote about how our auction supports the fellowship’s “Climate of Community”. Our auction also helps reduce climate change, albeit in a very small way.
By donating new or “like new” items, those taking up space in your closet, garage or pantry, you are decluttering. Decluttering improves your home environment and when someone purchases it, they are reducing their carbon emission and saving resources, a
small win for our climate. Next week we’ll explore other aspects of our theme “Creating a Climate of Community”
Here are all the dates:
Oct 11 (Sunday) 8:30am begin bringing auction items to AUUF - Room 8
Oct 28 (Wednesday) 3:00pm last day to bring items to AUUF or submit them on-line
Nov 6 (Friday) preview of auction items opens
Nov 8 (Sunday) 10:00am on-line auction opens/10:15 - 12:45 at
AUUF, there will be sign-ups/purchases for experiences and set priced items. Nov 14 (Sat) 12noon - on-line auction closes. 5:30pm Annual dinner begins Donation forms are available at AUUF and on the AUUF website. You may also submit them through the auction website.
