(RNS) — ‘The public ex*****on even of one who has done grave harm will only further undermine the moral fabric of our nation and be a blight on the conscience of its people,’ Archbishop Paul S. Coakley said in a statement.

We have a Bazaar Workshop tomorrow, Saturday, Oct 10, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Waldron Hall. Come for as much or as little time as you can.

We’ll make sure we're caught up covering and labeling of jarred items and the tagging/labeling of completed items, including the knit wear from the Knitters of the North. You can help with that, or bring your own project to work on tomorrow.

Bring something to share for the potluck lunch, if you like. The theme is Alaska Day! Don’t worry if you aren’t able or if you forget; we'll have plenty.

God of love and source of peace,

We hold before you our Jewish siblings and neighbors, remembering their sorrow, resilience, and sacred heritage.

Comfort all who grieve, shield all who dwell in fear, and bring healing to every life shattered by violence and war. Break down the dividing walls of hatred, silence the clamor of weapons, and turn human hearts toward reconciliation and shared justice.

Grant courage to peacemakers, mercy to the vulnerable, and help us walk together toward your promised shalom—where every child of the earth may live in safety, dignity, and quiet trust.

Amen.

All members are urged to attend this very important Budget Forum. This is where YOUR voice gets heard regarding key financial items concerning our church. See you on Sunday!

📣 Your Voice Shapes Our Ministry: All Parish Budget Forum 📣

Join us at St. Mary’s on Sunday, October 4, immediately following the 10:00 AM service for our open Budget Forum.

A church budget is far more than spreadsheets and balance sheets. It is a tangible reflection of our mission, our values, and the work God calls us to do together in our community. Whether we are caring for our sacred space, expanding outreach, supporting worship and music, or investing in Christian formation for all ages, every line item represents our shared life in Christ.

As we plan for the coming year, your voice, questions, and perspectives matter. Members of the Vestry and finance team will provide an overview of our current financial landscape, outline ministry priorities for the upcoming budget, and open the floor for conversation and Q&A.

Grab a cup of Jesus Java after the service, pull up a chair, and help shape how our resources serve our faith and parish family in the year ahead. All are welcome!
