If you feel called, I invite you to join me this evening for a special guided inquiry—a chance to sit together in presence with this moment, to listen to what it may be teaching us, and to allow whatever arises to be held in love.
We will gather at 6:45 PM tonight at the Center for Spiritual Living, 929 E 81st Avenue. Our time will include a group healing meditation, followed by an open space for experience sharing.
You are welcome exactly as you are, with whatever you are feeling.
Violence has happened. Two lives are no longer appearing in form. The mind calls it random, senseless, unbearable. And yet, even now, notice what:
~ registers this shock
~ feels this grief
~ rises to meet the anger
That which knows these feelings has not been touched. That same presence held those two lives as they breathed, and it is holding us now, as we read these words.
From this perspective, the question “Why?” fades before it can take shape. What remains is simply experience itself—the surge, the ache, the thunder of emotion—arising in and as the one indivisible field. Nothing is outside this, nothing contaminates it.
Whatever we feel right now is what is. These emotions don’t need fixing or managing; they don’t indicate anything is wrong. They are not mistakes, not intruders—but requests for attention.
Grief is love grieving its beloved.
Anger is love aching for justice.
Fear is love protecting what it holds dear.
Helplessness is love bowing in humility.
However distorted they seem, each one is love already.
So the invitation is not to resist but to feel. To allow what comes, as it comes. The “response” is not something you need to manufacture. It flowers through us if permitted—sobs, silence, tenderness, action. Each movement is already the living expression of love.
From the view of the separate self, death looks random, stripped of meaning. From the view of presence, no event has ever been outside the whole; no life has ever been apart from life. Appearances dissolve, but essence is here—unbroken, luminous, aware.
To honor the ones who seem to have vanished is to rest even more deeply in this knowing: that no being was ever separate, no life ever lost. What they are has not gone anywhere—it is this very awareness that shines as the reader of these words.
And so the only commitment needed is openness. To stay available. To let love live you here, in whatever shape it takes. There is nothing to fix, nothing to add. Your very capacity to feel this—to weep, to embrace, to breathe—*is* love moving as you.
The crack you may be feeling in your heart right now is not a mistake—it’s an opening, a tender space through which love longs to flow in. The mind will try to make sense of it, but truly, this isn’t something the mind can ever grasp. What matters is simply being with what is here.
