Calling all youth group members who are in high school! Come share your voice, have fun, and enjoy fellowship with the Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir.

Rehearsals begin Thursday, September 10, and are held every Thursday from 6:00 p.m.

No auditions. No pressure. No experience needed—just come ready to sing and have fun!

From Lauren Larsen and the Immanuel Youth Group Board:

"We had an incredible response from our student families and we’re so grateful for everyone who took the time to share their input on our online surveys.

After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, our youth board has agreed to move youth group to Wednesday nights to support the availability of the majority votes.

We know this change won’t work for everyone and some of you regretfully have other events on Wednesday nights. While we wish we could accommodate every schedule, we’re doing our best to support the greatest number of teens in our congregation at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

This decision is not personal—we’re simply following where we believe God is leading us for this season.

As far as dates go, here are some very important ones to write down:

🏁 To start off the school year, I want to remind you of our Arzo Park Kick-Off this THURSDAY (5:30-7:45) that costs $10 per student and includes 5 activities and pizza. Drop off and Pick Up are at Arzo Park.

📆 Our first official meeting will take place on September 9th from 6-8 PM. Families are welcome to attend and get an idea of what we have planned for the upcoming year and how they can support the youth group and get involved.

✝️ For students enrolled in confirmation classes, students and parents will then attend their orientation portion of catechism from 6:30-7:00 PM while the remainder of students enjoy snacks and rec time. We will end the night with worship music and a short devotion.

From that night onward, Immanuel Lutheran Church Youth Group will meet on Wednesdays from 6:00–8:00 PM.

We will be collaborating with the Confirmation program:

- 6:00–7:00 PM — Rec time, snacks, and worship together

- 7:00–8:00 PM — Split into groups where Confirmation students leave for their Catechism instruction and the remainder will stay for a teen-oriented Bible study.

If you have lost a loved one, you know how difficult grief can be.

You may not know that Immanuel hosts a recurring support group just for you.

In this 13-week group, taught from a Christian perspective, you'll receive valuable information and guidance to help you navigate your grief journey—all in a safe, supportive environment with other people who have experienced loss.

Fall session starts September 14th at 5:00 p.m. Everyone in the community who would benefit from a grief support group is welcome!

Quick reminder on two things:

✝ Our last bandshell service is at Bay View Park on Saturday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m. We're expecting a cool day tomorrow. (If it rains, follow us back over to the church!)

🎉 The Immanuel Lutheran School Fall Fundraiser Gala is a little under a month away. Tickets are still available in the church office—stop by and pick some up today.

Immanuel Lutheran Church's Youth Group is excited to get back to weekly youth nights as the new school year gets into full swing.

📅 In the past, youth group has typically met on Thursdays from 6–8 PM. However, for this next school year, we are prayerfully considering whether to move our Youth Group to Wednesdays from 6-8 PM.

We greatly appreciate your help in making this difficult decision!

Your input is incredibly important as we seek what is best for the overall good and majority of our local 7th-12th graders.

⏰ Please submit the online form below NO LATER THAN 8/31 so the youth board can review results and make a decision by September 1st.
