Everyone has a story. Everyone has a song. Join us this summer as we celebrate both at First Congregational Church of Alpena. 🎵❤️

Summer is a wonderful time to gather, connect, and celebrate the many ways God is at work in our lives. This year, First Congregational Church of Alpena invites our community to join us for a special summer series, "This Is My Story; This Is My Song."

Each Sunday at 10:00 a.m., we come together to worship, sing, pray, and hear the stories that have shaped our faith journeys. Through personal reflections, favorite hymns, meaningful music, and shared experiences, we'll celebrate the unique stories God has written in our lives and the songs that have carried us through seasons of joy, challenge, hope, and gratitude.

Whether you've been part of our congregation for years, are looking for a church home, or are simply curious about what faith means in the lives of your neighbors, you are warmly welcome. We believe everyone has a story worth sharing, and everyone has something meaningful to contribute.

Throughout the summer, we'll also enjoy opportunities for fellowship, music, community gatherings, and special events. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate faith, friendship, and the rich tapestry of stories that make our community so special.

If you have a "This Is My Story; This Is My Song" presentation you'd like to share—whether it's a personal testimony, a favorite hymn, a musical offering, or a reflection on your faith journey—we would love to hear from you! 🌸🌼 BLOOM & DRAW! 🌼🌸

Join us during the Flower Festival for a fun-filled afternoon of creativity, color, and community!

Kids of all ages are invited to help us create a beautiful sidewalk garden using colorful chalk. Bring the children you know, invite your friends and neighbors, and stop by anytime between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to add your own flower, butterfly, or garden masterpiece.

🎨 Sidewalk chalk will be provided.
🌷 No artistic experience needed—just imagination and a smile!
🦋 Come help us turn the sidewalk into a blooming work of art for everyone to enjoy.

Pentecost Sunday Celebration

Last Sunday, our sanctuary was filled with beauty, color, and the powerful reminder of the Holy Spirit’s presence as we celebrated the Day of Pentecost — often called the “birthday of the Church.”

The vibrant red and gold flames surrounding the altar symbolized the tongues of fire that descended upon the disciples, empowering them to go forth in faith, unity, and love. Pentecost reminds us that God’s Spirit is still moving among us today — bringing hope, renewal, courage, and connection to our church family and community.

May the Spirit continue to guide our congregation as we live out Christ’s love in the world.
