What a beautiful sevice we had today honoring 2 special ladies Joan Houck and Joann Sones; 2 of God’s best!! Joan H always says “don’t wait until someone is dead to give your accolades and flowers give them while they are alive” so that is exactly what we did! This was their day to let them know how special they both are and how many lives they have touched over the years! I’m sure if we would have announced it publicly we would not have been able to accommodate the crowd!! We wanted this day to be a surprise and for the first time ever we were able to pull it off. These precious ladies had no idea this day was about them!! If you didn’t have the honor of knowing these ladies you truly have missed out. They are 2 of the most godly, compassionate, self sacrificing women. A true picture of what “Christ likeness” means. A big thank you to everyone who had part in the service from the special speakers: Tyler, Mikaela, Angel M., Ryan H., and Margie. A big thank you to Shelley for heading up the meal and Mel for all the beautiful decorations. Thank you to all the ladies who helped decorate, helped with set up and clean up, preparing and serving food you all are invaluable!! Our church is truly blessed with so many amazing, giving and and talented people!! If your life was touched by these ladies reach out and let them know send them a card or a text. Give your accolades now while they can appreciate them and not just to these dear women but to anyone who may have touched your life in some way!
