Happy Feast Day St. Augustine
St. Augustine of Hippo was named a bishop in the Catholic Church of Hippo ((located in modern-day Algeria from 396 AD until his death in 430 AD) and is also a Doctor of the Church. He is viewed as one of the most important Church Fathers of the Latin Church in the Patristic Period. The Catholic Church is blessed to have such an intelligent and well-versed man associated with the organized church founded by Christ. Saint Augustine is also regarded as one of the greatest theologians and philosophers in the history of the Catholic Church.

Jesus loves you!
Today is Saint Bernard's feast day. He was an abbot and priest of our Catholic church. He was declared a Doctor of the church by Pope Pius XII in 117. Pius then declared an encyclical with the title "The ‘Doctor Mellifluus" named after Bernard due to the gentle soul of this man. The following words "Jesus is honey on the lips, melody in the ear, joy in the heart" were spoken by Bernard and are a true reflection of his spirit.
