Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

A foundational principal for prosperous Christian life is being set forth in Proverbs 3. When Eve looked upon the fruit and saw that it was "good for food and to make one wise", the choice was to trust in the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" rather than the "Tree of Life ". If we lean unto our own understanding, our prospectives and decisions will be corrupted by our fallen nature and have no life. Lord, lead us to trust in You and Your Word!
