Sajjan’s testimony:
“I was born into a 3rd generation Christian family in India. Though I was raised in a Christian home, worldly pleasures became too attractive. While a student of Engineering, due to my lifestyle, I was always a target for violence. During this time, I desperately needed peace so I returned to Church, seeking peace. One Sunday in 1988, the sermon was about the prodigal son. While the preacher was exposing the passage from Luke 15, it felt as if he was exposing my life. Like the prodigal son, I too took “journey into a far country” (Luke 15:13) because I wanted to have a “riotous living”. Like the prodigal son who “came to himself”, I during the sermon came to myself. I was convicted, of my need for forgiveness and salvation. I accepted God’s salvation through His son Jesus Christ the same day and in a few weeks on an Easter Sunday got baptized.
I had many misunderstandings about Christian doctrines. In God’s own time God took control over my life, gave me a Godly wife in Sandhya Suhasini. After moving to the US in 2004, under the mentorship of several faithful servants of God, I started serving God, enrolled in a seminary, served in many places in many capacities. During this time God also blessed us with a precious daughter who now is 15 years beautiful Girl and we are blessed with many innumerable earthly and heavenly blessings.
I am now excited to be the new Pastor at Highpoint Baptist Church, Alexandria, KY. I am passionate about edifying the body of Christ, by dedicating to God’s word and Prayer. I am eagerly waiting to see what God will accomplish at Highpoint Baptist Church. I invite you to visit and worship with us, and witness God working in our community.“
