Such a good night with our youth this past Sunday! ❤️

We painted pumpkins, roasted s’mores around the campfire, and walked the labyrinth together. We spent some time talking about what we are carrying and what it looks like to trust God with those things.

Using scripture from Matthew and Psalms, we were reminded that we don’t have to carry everything on our own—we can give it to God and trust Him with it.

Pumpkins, s’mores, a campfire, and some really good conversations made for a pretty great Sunday night! 🎃🔥❤️

🎃🚗 TRUNKS STILL NEEDED! 🚗🎃

Our Trunk or Treat is October 25, and we still need more trunks to help make this a fun afternoon for our kids and community!

Decorate your trunk, bring some candy, and come join the fun! 🍬👻🎃 We’d love to fill the parking lot with as many trunks as possible!

Sometimes we just need a Sunday night to have FUN and enjoy being together! 🙌

This past Sunday was all about fellowship and a little team building. We enjoyed Zaxby’s, played Sardines throughout the ENTIRE church, headed outside for some football, played 4 Square in the Fellowship Hall, and just had time to hang out together.

I love seeing these youth laugh, have fun, and continue building relationships with one another. Sometimes nights like these are exactly what we need! ❤️

Our Confirmation group had such a great time at the Greek Food Festival! 🇬🇷

We were able to listen to some of their beautiful musical chants and hear from one of their priests about how they worship and how they incorporate all five senses into the worship experience.

One of my favorite parts of Confirmation is giving our students opportunities to see how other churches worship and learn more about different Christian traditions. ❤️

After our tour, everyone got to enjoy all the delicious food and festivities! Such a fun night of learning, fellowship, and of course…really good food! 😋

Youth Sunday Night! ❤️

So thankful for Mrs. Leslie, Mr. Ryan, and Mr. Tyler for holding down the fort while I was at Kids Night! And a big thank you to the Open Door Sunday School class for providing a delicious dinner for our youth!

They had a great night playing Reverse Charades, learning about Joseph’s unexpected journey and how God was with him through it all, and getting some time outside together.

So thankful for these youth and for all the wonderful people who continue to show up, love them, and pour into them! ❤️

Such a fun night of team building at Breakout Birmingham! 🔐⏰🙌

We had 4 teams and ALL 4 escaped in under an hour! 🎉👏

Our top team took on Runaway Train and escaped in an impressive 44 minutes and 38 seconds! 🚂💨

Lots of teamwork, problem solving, laughs, and maybe a little friendly competition. 😜 So proud of these kids and how well they worked together! Such a fun night with our youth! ❤️

Sunday nights with our youth! 🙌❤️

We had such a fun night together starting with Protect the President and Mr. Tommy always keeps us guessing by adding his own fun variations! 😂 Lots of running, laughing, and a little friendly competition!

We slowed things down with some worship 🎶 and then jumped into our September lesson, “Messy People, Faithful God,” looking at the life of Peter. Peter didn’t always get it right. He made mistakes, acted before thinking, doubted, and even denied Jesus but God continued to love him, use him, and work through his story.

Such a good reminder for all of us that God doesn’t need perfect people. He is faithful even in the middle of our mess. ❤️

Games. Worship. Scripture. Small groups. And lots of fun together. We’re thankful for Sunday nights with this crew!

Labor Day Weekend Schedule

There will be no Sunday School or Youth Sunday Night on September 6. With many volunteers out of town for Labor Day weekend, we’re giving our dedicated team the Sunday off. We’re grateful for all they do and hope everyone enjoys a restful holiday weekend!

🧱 UNSHAKEN: Built to Last 🧱

We wrapped up our UNSHAKEN series Sunday night by talking about what it means to be built to last!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve challenged our youth with three big questions:

🙋 Who am I?
🤝 Who’s with me?
🏠 What am I building on?

This week, we talked about how storms are going to come, hard days, pressure, changes, doubts, and challenges, but what we build our lives on makes all the difference. When our foundation is Jesus, we can stand firm even when everything around us feels shaky. ❤️

📖 “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24

Such a great way to wrap up this series! We love Sunday nights with our youth good food, lots of laughs, worship, and time spent growing together. 🙌 Thanks Mrs. Leslie for leading and Noah for doing music and all the small group leaders!
