Jesus Works

Jesus Works is a Shelby County service ministry Jesus Works began as a vision of partnership from Alabaster First United Methodist Church.

Together with other local churches along Highway 11, resources and abilities were combined to serve surrounding communities and improve individual living conditions from Leeds to Alabaster, AL. As this vision began to take form, it was apparent that God was blessing this ministry by bringing together even more communities of faith and local churches than just those along Highway 11. As God began t

o move through these relationships, not only churches, but local businesses and contractors began to support the effort. With God’s help and the support of the local communities, Jesus Works has provided everything from vegetables, to porches, to new homes for residents in need of support. Since our original vision, many volunteers have worked tirelessly to improve living conditions, make friends, and share the love of Christ. Our motto is “From Strangers to Friends to Brothers and Sister in Christ.” You are welcome to join us! All skill levels and needed and invited!

We truly appreciate the expertise of home builder Scott Masters who tremendously helps and gives us direction. Jesus is working in our community!
