For the second year in a row I had the honor of being the lead worshiper/worship leader for the AFCC Cowboy Church Camp in Chelsea AL at the Hargis Christian Camp. God was doing something amazing in that place and in the hearts of teens and preteens. 2 songs into the worship each night the alters were absolutely full of student on their knees crying out to God. It continued throughout the worship time every night and during the invitation time only to be sensitively disbursed due to time schedule for activities to follow like church group bible time. But believe me it went long past the regular scheduled ending. One might question the sincerity of such an out pouring but as I think about what teens and preteens face everyday. The millions of lures, lies, distractions, drugs, sexual exposure, peer pressure, internet, tictok, YouTube, Facebook, snapchat, alcohol, mental, physical and sexual abuse, bullying, divorce, depression, not to mention all the ADHD etc the list goes on and on. It’s not just this group of young people it's all over. So I can understand these teens and preteens coming to an altered laying down these things along with their fears and sins to a God that sent His son to die for them and loves them unconditionally. In a time that this world wants you to die for it, it good to hear there is a Creator who sent His son to die for them. Thank you Jesus and glory to God! Amazing!
