This course introduces participants to the interreligious and ecumenical landscape in Singapore, exploring the Church’s teachings on dialogue, unity, and evangelisation in a diverse society. Through case studies, guest speakers, practical applications, and interfaith encounters, participants will deepen their understanding of dialogue and its role in catechetical ministry and the Church’s mission.

This basic course helps catechists deepen their understanding of liturgical worship and the Eucharist as the celebration of the Paschal Mystery and our relationship with God. Participants will explore the history and sacrificial nature of the Mass, the Semitic roots of the Eucharist, and themes of memorial, kerygma, and parousia, including the meaning of the Lord’s Prayer and being sent forth in mission.

📘𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
This course seeks to provide participants with an appreciation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) as a journey of conversion toward Christ through full communion with the Church. It offers an overview of the RCIA as a process that includes periods of inquiry and growth, highlighting the gradual stages of faith maturation (RCIA 6, 7; cf. *Directory of Catechesis*, 63), and is marked by liturgical rites that sanctify key moments on the path to initiation (cf. *Sacrosanctum Concilium*, 64; RCIA 6). The course also aims to foster an understanding of the role of the RCIA ministry in supporting both candidates and catechumens throughout their initiation journey.

After being told that they were getting a divorce, Joel felt a sense of loneliness and abandonment when he realised that his parents were not making space for him in their new lives.

He spiralled into reckless choices, numbing pain with temporary highs that only deepened the emptiness inside him. He reached a point where he wanted to disappear, believing that the world wouldn’t even notice that he was gone.

Then a quiet nudge led him towards RCIA. For the first time in years, he felt seen, accepted and that he belonged. This softened his heart and gave him the courage to look into himself, his hurts and open himself to the healing work of the Lord.
