Before the Church ever β€œwent out,” the Holy Spirit came and descended upon the disciples β€” who were still unsure, still learning, and still scared of what laid ahead.

That same Spirit is given to us. In our tiredness and our joys, our sorrows and our hopes, He is already near, present in the midst of our ordinary life.

So the question is not whether He is given, but whether we will make space for Him. Will we allow God’s Spirit to guide our day-to-day living β€” our words, our choices, and our responses?

We can begin to allow His Spirit to lead us in our daily life with something simple: by welcoming the Holy Spirit at the start of each day, and learning to walk with Him through it.

Some of us may feel concerned about the priest transfers taking effect on 22 July 2026, whether due to the uncertainty of change or past negative experiences of transition. Amid these worries, may we keep our eyes on the Lord and find peace in Him. Let us pray for hearts that are open and trusting toward the work He desires to do in our parishes, and for a spirit of unity and cooperation among us all.

Easter isn’t a reset button. It’s not a signal to go back to life as it was before Lent.

The small acts of discipline, the moments of prayer, the ways we have tried (and sometimes struggled) to stay faithful during Lent β€” these are not discarded when the season changes. They continue to unfold through our life and shape who we're becoming.

So as life resumes its familiar rhythm, maybe the invitation is for us not to move on too quickly, but to notice: how has God been shaping me, even in ways I did not fully understand at the time?

And perhaps the deeper question is not about β€œgoing back” to what we were β€” but what we are now being sent into, carrying the work God has already begun.

By this point of Easter, life might feel… back to normal. The joy and new life that we experienced on Easter Sunday can feel quite far away.

Sometimes, it’s not even about doing anything wrong. It’s just easy to get caught up with all the demands of life. And somewhere along the way, we lose sight of where we’re heading.

Today, we are invited to experience new life in Christ even through the difficult situations that we experience in our everyday life, by staying close to Him, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).

So wherever we are today, whatever is troubling us and weighing on our hearts, let us bring them to the foot of the Cross and ask our Risen Lord to lead us to the fullness of life with Him.

Our vocation is not something far away or meant to be figured out later in life.

It is something God has already begun within us β€” a gift that grows in the midst of our lives: our work, our relationships, our joys, and our struggles.

As Pope Leo XIV reminds us in his message for the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, "a vocation is not a fixed point, but a dynamic process of maturation sustained by intimacy with our Lord. To grow in one’s vocation means being with Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to act in our hearts and in the circumstances of life, and reinterpreting everything in light of this gift."

So perhaps the real invitation is not for us to β€œfind” our vocations, but to recognise what draws us closer to Christ, and how we're invited to respond in love to all that is around us.

This Vocation Sunday, may we find the courage to live a life fully with Jesus Christ!

What a gift it was to have more than 130 staff from 24 Archdiocesan organisations come together for a 3-day retreat led by Fr Kenson Koh.

As labourers in the Lord's vineyard, it’s easy to get caught up in the doing β€” serving, planning, running β€” and lose sight of why we do it and the posture with which we carry out our mission. This retreat brought us back to the heart of it: that in Christ, we are not just our roles or titles, but His beloved children. For we are what He has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life (Eph 2:10). And when we live from this identity, our witness becomes authentic, our service becomes love, and our lives reveal His mercy.

And in between it all β€” we played, we laughed, we simply were π‘‘π‘œπ‘”π‘’π‘‘β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿ. Because at the end of the day, isn’t this what it means to be in communion, and on mission together?

Hallelujah! Christ is risen.

Easter invites us to live differently; to live the newness of life that the Risen Lord offers us.

In the middle of our everyday lives β€” work, school, responsibilities, the ups and downs β€” Jesus offers us something new.

A deeper peace in our hearts. A quiet joy that takes root. A new way of seeing ourselves β€” not by our failures, but with a deep realisation that we are loved, chosen, and redeemed.

And from there, everything begins to change.

So this Easter, how is the Lord inviting you to live your life anew?
