With YOUR continued support, our young leaders like Gabriel Png are enriched to grow in spiritual leadership through the ELISHA Leadership Journey for New & Emerging Leaders at Catholic Leadership Centre.

Serving in ministry at Church of St Vincent de Paul, Gabriel now better understands how to lead with the heart of the Good Shepherd.

In his words: “I hope that whatever little I have contributed in my own small community will impact others and inspire them to steward their gifts for God too!”

Thank you, Church of St Teresa, Singapore! 💜

Over the weekend of 18th and 19th July, we were grateful to connect with parishioners during our GIFT outreach at the Church of Saint Teresa.

We were delighted to be joined by the Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools and Catholic Leadership Centre Singapore - CLC, who shared how they are nurturing Catholic education and forming leaders for the Church in Singapore. Together, we shared how the GIFT programme supports these and, many other programmes and initiatives across the Archdiocese.

A special thank you to the staff, students and parents from CHIJ Kellock FB for being part of this outreach. 💜

We are also deeply grateful to Rev Frs John Joseph Fenelon, Augustine Joseph, Romeo Yu Chang, Jean Nguyen, Ambrose Vaz, as well as the parish office team and parishioners of Church of Saint Teresa, for your warm welcome, encouragement and continued support of the GIFT programme. 🙏

Every parish visit reminds us that stewardship begins with people. Thank you for journeying with us as we continue inviting more Catholics to live out their call to stewardship and participate in the Church's mission through their time, talent and treasure. Please keep us in your prayers. 💜

Jesus did not simply gather followers, He intentionally formed them.

He recognised where each of His disciples was in their journey and developed them accordingly. He instructed, demonstrated, encouraged, challenged, and ultimately entrusted them with leadership.

As leaders, do we know where the people we lead are in their development journey? Are we providing the support and what they need to take the next step forward?

One of the four leadership domains explored in the Lead Like Jesus Encounter Workshop (LLJ), The Way of the Carpenter, offers a practical framework for developing people according to their stage of growth.

If you would like to explore how the LLJ encounterworkshop can serve your ministry, parish, or organisation, contact the Catholic Leadership Centre or find out more at: https://bit.ly/leadlikejesus2026.

The hardest parts of Catholic leadership are often not the tasks, but the relationships and conversations we have.

Sometimes, we avoid difficult conversations because they are awkward or uncomfortable. But silence can slowly shape culture in ways we never intended. Over time, what is left unspoken can erode trust, accountability and openness within a community.

Good leadership often requires the courage to enter into conversations we would rather avoid.

How can we grow in having conversations that speak truthfully, hold one another accountable, and foster greater understanding, collaboration, and unity in mission?

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

At our recent Heart-to-Heart Conversations Listening Recollection, leaders came together to pause, listen, reflect, and grow in deeper awareness — of self, others, and God.

Through moments of silence, sharing, and listening, we were invited to rediscover listening not simply as a skill, but as a way of being — one that shapes how we lead, relate, and encounter others.

In a world filled with noise and constant responding, may we continue to grow as leaders who listen with presence, empathy, and openness to the gentle whisper of God.

As leaders, we often focus on what we do, but rarely on what is happening within us.
When our hearts are wounded, it shapes the way we lead: how we respond, relate and care for those entrusted to us.

But Christ does not leave us there. When we bring our wounds to Him, He heals, restores, and transforms us so that we may lead not from fear or striving, but from love and freedom.

The At the Feet of the Good Shepherd retreat (FGS) by the Catholic Leadership Centre (CLC) is an invitation to pause, to open ourselves to what God wants to reveal to us, and to invite Jesus, our Good Shepherd to tend to us.
