Sometimes, we avoid difficult conversations because they are awkward or uncomfortable. But silence can slowly shape culture in ways we never intended. Over time, what is left unspoken can erode trust, accountability and openness within a community.

Good leadership often requires the courage to enter into conversations we would rather avoid.

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

At our recent Heart-to-Heart Conversations Listening Recollection, leaders came together to pause, listen, reflect, and grow in deeper awareness — of self, others, and God.

Through moments of silence, sharing, and listening, we were invited to rediscover listening not simply as a skill, but as a way of being — one that shapes how we lead, relate, and encounter others.

In a world filled with noise and constant responding, may we continue to grow as leaders who listen with presence, empathy, and openness to the gentle whisper of God.

As leaders, we often focus on what we do, but rarely on what is happening within us.
When our hearts are wounded, it shapes the way we lead: how we respond, relate and care for those entrusted to us.

But Christ does not leave us there. When we bring our wounds to Him, He heals, restores, and transforms us so that we may lead not from fear or striving, but from love and freedom.

𝗘𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟲:𝟭𝟬–𝟭𝟳 – 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 (𝗘𝗣𝗛𝟲)

At the recent EPH6 retreat, participants gathered to be formed and strengthened in the Lord, putting on the full armour of God to stand firm in faith and live faithfully each day.

Through talks on the armour of God, spiritual warfare, spiritual discipline, prayer & adoration, participants were invited to reflect on their spiritual lives and how to equip themselves by living a life rooted in Christ.

It was a time of encounter, awakening, and renewal — equipping individuals and leaders to be spiritually grounded, strengthened in Christ, and empowered to lead with faith, clarity, and integrity.

We reflected on our intentions, our influence on others, and the habits that help us grow as faith-led leaders. Leadership isn’t about titles – it’s about serving others and guiding them with love, allowing Christ’s example and grace to shape how we lead.

Leaders from various parishes, ministries, and communities responded to God’s call to a six-month leadership formation journey.

We began this journey with a day of prayer, reflection, and listening, anchored in the reminder that God is a personal God – His call invites us to encounter Him first, allowing Him to work in our hearts and lives, so that our service and leadership may be guided by Him.

We ask for your prayers for all ELISHA 2026 participants as they step forward in faith and entrust themselves to the Lord. 🙏🏼🕊️

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬

Last month, our Lead Like Jesus trainers—serving Youth, Family, English, and Mandarin-speaking communities—came together for a day of reflection, prayer, and fellowship.

We reflected on God’s call, the fruitfulness of our ministry, and the importance of forming intentional disciples to lead like Jesus. From training over 1,500 unique individuals across all 32 parishes, we are grateful for the friendships, trust, and shared vision that continues to grow.

Join us for our upcoming Lead Like Jesus in January 2026, as we come together to reflect on how we have been leading ourselves and others, and discover how modelling the way Jesus leads can transform the way we lead and serve.
