The challenges of today’s world awaken the missionary sensitivity of the Oblates and call them to respond with courage and hope. Faced with injustice, indifference, poverty and spiritual crises, missionaries are invited to remain attentive to the signs of the times. The Oblate charism continues to inspire new generations to serve those most abandoned.

The poor occupy a privileged place in the Oblate mission because they reveal the face of Christ and teach the Gospel through their lives. Saint Eugene encouraged missionaries to be close to the abandoned, speaking their language and defending their dignity. Evangelization becomes authentic when it is lived with simplicity, compassion and solidarity.

Los pobres ocupan un lugar privilegiado en la misión oblata porque revelan el rostro de Cristo y enseñan el Evangelio con su vida. The Church continues Christ’s mission of evangelization by announcing the Gospel to all peoples. The Oblates are called to dedicate their lives generously to this mission, becoming witnesses of hope and salvation.
