We are so excited to welcome a new worker to the team! You might recognise Marvin as one of the rappers/evangelists who has worked with us on several schools tours and Fuse events... well now, we're delighted that he's our full-time Culcheth worker.

"I’m Marvin and I’m the youth worker for Culcheth High School and the Culcheth area.

Some of my previous experience includes working as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner with young people, being a mission evangelist as part of the rap collective Vital Signs, and working in prisons delivering music courses, Bible studies and faith groups.

I’ve worked with young people for 19 years (man, that makes me feel old!), and I’m excited to be able to combine two of my biggest passions; Jesus and young people.

My heart’s desire is to see young people saved and transformed by the love, peace, joy, and hope of Jesus Christ. I want to go after the least, the last, and the lost.

Through my experience, I have learned that young people don’t care what you know until they know that you care. My aim is to build a strong rapport with the young people in Culcheth and create a safe community for them to explore the Christian faith and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

I am also a rapper and evangelist and use my music gifts to glorify God."

The YFC team had an incredible time with We are the Church at Creamfields 2026.

Here we are just as one shift was finishing and the next was starting. Creamfields is a dance music festival right on our doorstep, so being part of a the Church across Warrington and beyond to be a loving church presence here was an absolute privilege.

And just like that, the summer holidays are over and young people are returning to school.

Last school year, we gave out 1540 to young people across Warrington. So join with us in praying that God's word, God's love, and God's light would guide their way into this new school year 🙏

Today marks the final day of having Eliana as our GAP Year student!

A few weeks back, we went out for a leaving meal (pictured), but Eliana's final shift today involves her showing the love of Jesus and serving many festival-goers in the muddy fields of Creamfields with We are the Church!

This is a slight change to the year of youth clubs, Bible groups, after-school clubs, lesson support, mission weeks, FUSE events, discipleship and training she has had 😅

It has been such a joy to see Eliana grow over the last year, and we wish her all the best as she continues in ministry.

Thank-you Eliana! You're an absolute star and you'll be so missed by the YFC team and the young people you've worked with ⭐

Earlier this month, Rachel took some young people from Birchwood to Christian festival, Limitless...

"We had an amazing time. The sun was shining, our tents didn't blow away in the wind, and God moved in power. It was such a joy to be in a room with thousands of young people and youth leaders worshipping Jesus.

We had some interesting conversations with our young people about why some people raise their hands and dance in worship, letting them know that it is about celebrating God and surrendering to Him, leaving our comfort zone and self-consciousness behind in our praise to Him.

The week's teaching was based upon the Fruit of the Spirit, and we saw one of our young people respond to a call to ask for more joy, and we were able to pray with them.

The young people loved the crafts, the giant inflatable obstacle course, the gaming zone and being able to hang out together. One of them said their highlight of the festival was seeing the healings and miracles that took place.

All the preparation, effort and lack of sleep was definitely worth it to see our young people have 5 days in God's presence and see Him move in power. "

Day 2 Summer in the Psalms || Psalm 19 ||

1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
5 It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.
6 The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
