Welcome to St Mary's Church page. St Mary's is the Parish Church of Redbourn, a beautiful village some four mile north of St Albans.

Hello all. We have news!

At St Mary's we are striving to make the church building as friendly and welcoming as possible for everyone, no matter who you are. We are therefore having work done over the next two months to level the main entrance so that everyone has step free access through the front door, rather than having to go around the back.

From Monday 12th you'll need to use the door in the courtyard between the church and hall to get into church. Our Prayer Tree will still be available for you to use if you wish and we will continue to pray your prayers each weekday morning at Morning Prayer.

Services and other activities will continue as normal....only the entrance has temporarily changed. We hope to have it all done by early December.

Today is our Harvest Festival. Join us for our All Age service at 10am where things might be a little different and then at 4pm for Choral Evensong. All are welcome.

Board in Church is back - join us this Saturday afternoon for more games, pizza, popcorn and chatter. 4-6pm.

You are invited to join us for our first "Board in Church" this Saturday, 4-6pm. All welcome, come and go as you please. Do let us know you're coming via the QR code or the link in comments so we have enough pizza. We will have some games ready but please feel free to bring your own favourites. Donations of games also welcome!

At 6pm there will be a time of quiet reflection for ten minutes called Soul Space in the church, for those who want it. We hope to see you there, or in the months to come...

Tonight we are back upstairs at The Cricketers of Redbourn. Join Pilgrims in the Pub over the next six weeks as we think about The Commandments. No knowledge necessary, just bring your curiosity, grab a drink at the bar and head upstairs.

A delight to welcome Dean Jo to St Mary's yesterday as she walked the Amphibalus Way from here to St Albans Cathedral. We wish her well in the coming months as she enjoys her study leave. If you want to find out more, especially about our wonderful "Holy Dusters" read Dean Jo's story here....

Yesterday evening Bishop Andrew came to St Marys Church, Redbourn for Evening Prayer before leading us in song and then making his pilgrimage to St Albans Cathedral along the Amphibilous Way, marking the story of Alban and Amphibilous. Today he was installed as the eleventh Bishop of St Albans. We pray for him and his family and look forward to welcoming him again soon. 🙏
