The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Year A, 7th June 2026

Refreshed by heavenly food,
we humbly implore you, O Lord,
that, attentive to the teaching of Saint Justin the Martyr,
we may abide at all times in thanksgiving
for the gifts we have received.
Through Christ our Lord.

He is real food and drink
come down from heaven
so that we may all be invited to the living food and drink.
It is Christ offering life to all and for all.
He offers life for EVER.
May Christ be at our side.
Be happy in the Lord.
May we all be His word within us.

With love and prayers, God bless us all, Fr Michael

PENTECOST Sunday, Year A, 24th May 2026

Senseless acts of beauty spread. A man plants daffodils along the roadway, his shirt billowing in the breeze from passing cars. In Seattle, a man appoints himself a one-man vigilante sanitation service and roams the concrete hills collecting litter in a supermarket cart. In Atlanta, a man scrubs graffiti from a green park bench.

They say you can't smile without cheering yourself up a little - likewise, you can't commit a random kindness without feeling as if your own troubles have been lightened if only because the world has become a slightly better place.

And you can't be a recipient without feeling a shock, a pleasant jolt. If you were one of those rush hour drivers who found your bridge fair paid, who knows what you might have been inspired to do for someone else later? Wave someone on in the intersection? Smile at a tired clerk? Or something larger, greater? Like all revolutions, guerilla goodness begins slowly, with a single act. Let it be yours.

It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no results. Gandhi

May God bless us all, Fr Michael
