In an age when wealth, positions of leadership, organisational affiliations and group loyalties can influence people's principles and decisions, these words of Shaykh Muqbil رحمه الله serve as a powerful reminder.

Our religion must never be compromised for worldly gain, personal interests, positions of influence or loyalty to individuals and groups.

The truth is not determined by wealth, status, numbers or the decisions of a group. Our allegiance must remain to the truth, regardless of whom it agrees with or opposes.

May Allāh grant us sincerity, steadfastness upon the truth and the courage to uphold it, even when doing so comes at a personal cost.
