25/05/2026

Going on pilgrimage can be a significant time of faith formation. Please join us in praying for everyone from the Diocese of Middlesbrough who is in Lourdes this week, that through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, they will have an encounter with Jesus.

Hope to see as many of our Lourdes family as possible at Jo Boyce's concert at St Mary's Cathedral on May 16!

A message from our pilgrimage director...

Dear All,

I need to make you aware of a change in the rules for those who hold dual British citizenship and usually travel on their “other nationality” passport.

From February 25, the government has stipulated that in order for people with British citizenship to enter the UK they will need to travel on a British passport.

This ruling does not apply to those who have dual British and Irish citizenship and hold an Irish passport.

Please ensure that you are travelling on a British or Irish passport or have the certificate of entitlement attached to the passport that you are travelling with.

This information only applies to those who hold dual nationality.

If you have any questions about this, please call me on 07776115160.

Thank you,

Mark

Hello everyone 👋

Some of you may already have heard about Talking to Myself by Father Tom O’Neill — it’s an Amazon bestseller in its category and many people have enjoyed reading it.

The book is a warm, thoughtful collection of reflections on faith, life, and the everyday moments that shape us — very much in Father Tom’s voice and based on his messages to parishioners during the pandemic.

With Christmas not too far away, it would also make a lovely gift for someone who knows and likes Father Tom, or who enjoys a reflective, uplifting read.

If you order Talking to Myself through the McGeary Media website (link in comments), £3 from each copy will be donated to the Lourdes fund, and if you add any other books to your order, there’ll be another £3 donated from those as well.

Thanks! 😊
