What Happens When You Miss Your Season?
Today’s service brought a sobering but powerful truth: when you miss your rain, you miss your harvest.
Drawing from Deuteronomy 11:13–17 and the account of Elijah in 1 Kings 17–19, we saw that every prophetic declaration attracts opposition. For every declaration, there is often an “attack nation” seeking to resist its manifestation. Yet, when circumstances appear silent and nothing seems to be happening, God is often doing His deepest work.
One striking insight was this: when you hear nothing, God is up to something. In seasons that feel dry, empty, or delayed, we must hold on to what God has said rather than what we see.
The Lord also challenged us to examine where our hearts truly belong. Through the story of Ahab, Jezebel, and Baal (1 Kings 16:31–33), we saw that people do not only bow to idols physically; sometimes hearts bow through compromise, misplaced priorities, and dependence on things other than God.
Finally, we learned that God places His miracles upon the altar. The altar remains the place of encounter, surrender, and divine exchange. Those who stay connected to God will never miss what Heaven has prepared for them.
