Ephesians 6:10-11

The Whole Armor of God

[10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. [11] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Ephesians 3:20-21

[20] [i]Now to [j]him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, [k]according to the power at work within us, [21] [l]to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

*7️⃣PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD*

```“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil...” (Read Ephesians 6:10-17)```
There is a necessity to put on the full armor of God. We need to spiritually be clothed with these armaments as taught by Apostle Paul if we are to win life battles.
*The belt of Truth is the believer's Integrity.* The belt was to protect one's loins and to hold his weapons of warfare and tunic together. In Christian armor, it is integrity that holds everything else together. Practice integrity.
*The breastplate of righteousness is the believer's purity.* It was to cover the soldier's vital organs. For the Christian, this breastplate is righteous standing with God. Satan wants to get into your heart and mind. He's looking for a crack in your armor. Keep your heart pure and intact.
*The shoes of peace is the believer's tranquility (emotional state of peace and quietness).* A soldier needed solid footing from which to move. Unless you have a solid footing of peace, you can never win a battle. You will need peace at all times.
*The shield of faith is the believer's certainty.* In those days, soldiers dipped arrows in oil, then lit and shot them at the enemy. These shields were vital to protect the soldier from getting shot and burned. Satan is going to fire flaming arrows of doubt and fear at you. You will need to feed your faith and starve your doubts and fears.
*The helmet of salvation is the believer's sanity.* A soldier used a helmet to protect his head because if his head was wounded, he wouldn't be able to think. Every believer needs to have the mind of Christ and move under the control of His will. You need to have an assurance of salvation otherwise you won't win battles.
*The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.* When we are tempted, the most effective weapon that God has given to us as believers is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Jesus modeled this so beautifully during His temptation in the wilderness. Memorize scripture and use the Word of God to defeat Satan's lies and attacks.
Brethren let us practice putting on the armor of God now and always.
*REBUILDING HOPE*
Renewing our Christian hope will take us back to our default settings. It will take us back to our right beliefs and attitudes (back to being orthodoxy). This is anything from putting God first, seeking His kingdom, focusing on love, grace, and eternal life, and operating from a foundation of God's unfailing love and faithfulness, rather than self centeredness.
Restoring hope will also bring the inner compass for life decisions back to fulfilling God's purpose. Living in true hope will serve as an automatic lens, guiding actions towards spiritual growth, serving others, and aligning with biblical values like joy, peace, and kindness.
Are you interested in living a life of purpose fulfilled in Christ? Consider following keenly the concepts taught since we started Daniel Fast and act upon them (follow them in obedience).
When faced with choices, true hope will guide you to seek God's will, love your neighbor, and act with compassion, forgiveness, and integrity. It will also provide an anchor, allowing you to return to faith-based responses instead of falling back on worldly or selfish instincts.
```“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. [19] This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” (Hebrews 6:18-19)```

*6️⃣HEALING YOUR PAST HURTS*

```“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19)```
There is so much power in forgiveness, so much healing in reconciliation. Without healing and forgiveness, other people’s mistakes will affect our future. Without the inner working of the Holy Spirit, we will live in continual suffering from the sins of others.
Each day of our life is a gift from God that He wants us to live fully. Stop being stuck in a frustrating cycle of pain that leaves you feeling hopeless. Hopelessness will deny you access to the throne of grace.
Transform your pain instead of transferring it. If you don’t find ways to learn from your past pain, you’ll likely be doomed to repeat the mistakes you made in the past.
You need to forgive those who in your past memories you can recall with pain. Forgive yourself too of any failure and wrong choices that expose you to pain.
So ask God to break the hold that your past has over you and show you what useful lessons you can learn from it so you can begin moving forward. Realize that it’s pointless to dwell on your regrets, since you can’t go back and change your past – all you can do is keep moving forward.
Turn to the ultimate Healer, Jesus Christ, to help you cure. Jesus specializes in taking what’s broken and restoring it to how it is designed to be.
*REBUILDING HOPE*
Christian hope (the joyous expectation) is able to restore. Restoration is a core theme centered on God's promise to renew people and creation, offering healing from sin, brokenness, and loss, both now and eternally through Jesus Christ.
It inspires believers to find hope, strength and actively participate in bringing God's goodness to the world. It's a journey founded on the biblical truth that assures a believer of God's ability to make all things new, turning sorrow into joy and broken situations into sources of hope.
Through hope, God restores lost joy, peace, and wholeness, helping people overcome sin, guilt, and past hurts through faith in Jesus.
This joyous expectation can also lead to reconciliation. It's about esteeming the greater joy set for us and which diminishes pain and suffering, restoring broken relationships with God and others. This hope is fanned when believers encourage those going through physical or emotional pain to gently be restored from sin and bad choices.
David was this hopeful as he sung this Psalm: ```Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. [11] Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. [12] Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. (Psalms 51:10-12)```
