🕊️ A Wonderful Parish Visitation! 🕊️

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Bishop Tom Neylon to our parish recently for an official visitation.

the congregation absolutely loved getting the chance to meet and chat over a cup of tea with him. His visit brought a wonderful energy to our community!

A huge thank you to Bishop Tom for his time and inspiring presence, and to everyone who came along to share in the day.

One of the major monuments of the Catholic and Gothic Revivals in England. Designed in a free and inventive Decorated style, with its schools and college (now part of Hope University) this formed part of the most extensive group of religious buildings in the city.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight🌟Celebrating 27 Years of Vera!

If you’ve visited the piety shop at SFX, you definitely know Vera! She has been a friendly, welcoming face in our church community for nearly 27 years.

Fun fact: Vera originally stepped in just for one Sunday to help out when the previous shop volunteer hurt her hands. The following week, she was asked to cover again... and she’s been there ever since!

We are incredibly blessed to have her dedication and warmth week after week. Thank you, Vera, for everything you do for the SFX Community!

Step into the quiet corners of our church where history, faith, and memory meet. ✨
Behind the tender statue of the Pieta, the names of local sailors and soldiers from the Great War are etched into the stone walls, a permanent reminder of service, sacrifice, and community. The single candle burning brightly reminds us that their memory, and God's grace, lives on.
We are so blessed to worship in a place steeped in so much history and heart. Next time you visit us, take a moment to light a candle, and reflect.
