🌍 Ghana Young Adults Pilgrimage 2027 🇬🇭

Are you aged 18–30 and interested in joining a young adults pilgrimage to Ghana next year?

We’re looking to bring together young adults who are interested in finding out more and would like to be part of an introductory Zoom conversation. We’ll share about previous pilgrimages, talk about possible dates for 2027, finances and practicalities, and think together about what the pilgrimage could look like.

One prayer. Less than 70 words. A vision for changing how we live.

On Monday 5 October, join the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, at Liverpool Cathedral for a special evening exploring the meaning and relevance of the Lord’s Prayer today.

Through music, personal stories, reflection, conversation and shared prayer, we will consider how these familiar words can shape our lives, our communities and our world.

Like the wise men who followed the star to Bethlehem, come and make your own journey through light and darkness, wonder and reflection, towards the hope we celebrate at Christmas.

This year the light show will debut 'Constellation', showcasing thousands of paper stars carrying messages of hope, love and reflection, gathered together beneath the Cathedral’s magnificent roof.

Stuart Sutcliffe’s The Crucifixion, created for StGabriels Church Huyton Quarry in 1958.

During , St Gabriel’s Church in Huyton Quarry hosted a special memorial service for Stuart, the original bass player for the Beatles, and his sister Pauline, with family, friends and guests travelling from around the world to attend.

Stuart and his family worshipped at St Gabriel’s, where he was confirmed, and his faith became an important part of his life. He also gave his painting The Crucifixion to the church in 1958, creating a lasting connection between his art and the Christian community he belonged to.

During the service, three further works connected with Stuart were gifted to St Gabriel’s, including an oil painting of the resurrected Christ and two drawings of stonework from inside the church.
