We are pleased to welcome the Schola Cantorum of St Aloysius’ College to the Cathedral on Sunday 31 May for the 11am Solemn Mass.

The Schola Cantorum of St Aloysius' College is one of four choirs within the College’s music programme. They sing liturgies both at the College and on Sundays at St Aloysius Church.

In recent years, they have sung Evensong at St George's Chapel, Windsor and on the Altar of the Chair at St Peter's Basilica, as well as leading Morning Worship for BBC Radio 4.

Do join us for what promises to be a beautiful celebration of music and liturgy.

As part of the Cathedral’s 60th Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2027, we are beginning plans for a Flower Festival celebrating the theme of Hope. 🌼

The festival is planned for May 2027 and will feature floral displays throughout the Cathedral, created by talented individuals and groups from across the archdiocese.

We are currently inviting expressions of interest from experienced flower arrangers and parish groups with a background in creating displays for churches and similar settings.

If you know someone in your parish who may be interested in taking part in this special celebration, please ask them to contact Claire Hanlon at [email protected] in the first instance.

Further details about the theme, arrangements and practical information will be shared in due course. Our team will support participants throughout the process.

We hope many people across the archdiocese will consider being part of this memorable moment in the history of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
