The Science and Eco Club had a great time getting creative with pumpkin carving last week. There were some fantastic designs, lots of teamwork and plenty of fun along the way.
As part of our Green Flag work, we're making sure the pumpkins don't go to waste. We'll be saving the seeds and planting them in the spring, helping to make our school grounds greener and more welcoming for wildlife and pollinators! 💙👏🏻

21st October was ‘Love your Library’ day across Northern Ireland. Assumption Grammar School joined in with the Libraries NI challenge to ‘drop everything and read’ for 15 minutes. In our library lessons, we collectively read for 25 hours! At break time we also had a ‘why I love my library’ challenge and there were some amazing responses…

All of our netball teams have been training hard this half term with some great performances already displayed. The girls have started off strong and look forward to continuing their league campaign after Halloween! 💙👏🏻

🎉 Well done to the U14 Assumption Girls from the Carryduff team who won the Down Shield. Amazing achievement from all the girls involved from the school! 💙👏🏻

🏐 Year 8 Netball – StrongHer Event 🏐
Our Year 8 netballers had an excellent day at Down Leisure Centre for the StrongHer event! 💪
A huge thank you to Healthy Kids for organising such a fantastic day. We’re delighted to come away as overall winners! 🏆
The pupils also enjoyed an inspirational talk from athlete Rosie Tennison, making it an even more memorable experience.
Well played, everyone! 👏 A special mention to Amber, who took home our MVP award. 🌟

Our School Production was a true Assumption team effort, from sound and lighting to costumes and backstage, our Art Department, our PR & Marketing team and Front of House staff, Mary and the Windmill Restaurant staff, and the best in the business, Donal and Archie. Thank you to you all! 💙🤍
