We're excited for our next guest preacher this Sunday, Rev. Claire Latimer-Dennis! 😁

"As a liaison to the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, she is passionate about building relationships with diverse faith leaders to support students in their own traditions. Part of her role is to strengthen the school's relationship with our surrounding community, which includes supporting service leadership partnerships with our neighbour Grace Church-on-the-Hill, and providing guidance to students who want to lead within their community." "Dr. Kristen Deede Johnson is the eleventh Principal of Wycliffe College. She comes to Wycliffe College from Western Theological Seminary, an evangelical and ecumenical seminary in Holland, Michigan, where she was Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs as well as G.W. and Edna Haworth Professor of Educational Ministries and Leadership.

She is widely published by both popular and academic publishers and a sought-after thought leader on radio and podcasts. Her first book, Theology, Political Theory, and Pluralism: Beyond Tolerance and Difference, was published by Cambridge University Press in the Cambridge Studies in Christian Doctrine series. In 2017 a book she co-authored, The Justice Calling: Where Passion Meets Perseverance (Brazos Press), was awarded Book of the Year from Christianity Today in the Politics and Public Life Category." Would you be interested in helping out? 👋

"Welcome guests from Toronto and beyond who will be here for the show. We have experience at this, every Sunday, don’t we church?! And it is a joy to help someone feel comfortable, find the washrooms and water fountains, locate their seats, and generally help strangers feel like guests, then family." - Pastor Jason

I’m so proud that Ins Choi’s play Son of a Preacherman is coming to TEMC. “Coming” as in we’re producing it, putting it on, in our chancel, as a blessing to Toronto. And now, you can be part of it.

On this Canada Day, we give thanks for this land in all its beauty, for the many peoples and stories that shape it, and for the opportunity to grow with hope together. Let’s reflect and remember what we hold in common. ❤️

Today, we share this beautiful new arrangement of O Canada by our Musician-in-Residence, John Arndt, offered by the Timothy Eaton Music & Worship Ministry.

May this tender anthem be a prayer of gratitute - for the gifts we have received, for the work still before us, and for the grace that calls us to love our neighbours and care for this country we call home. Happy Canada Day 🍁
