FVM teams in Canada and Malawi have been meeting online to brainstorm and renew our mission and values statements. It was so good to be able to hear one another. Especially impactful is to hear from the Malawi team who are doing the day-to-day work of living out our mission and values. The Sunuzi Health Centre will bring another team on board. We want to ensure the impact of Jesus’ love, hope and salvation stays front and centre as we continue in outreach initiatives ministering to multiple generations in the Taulo and Nandolo communities ❤️

Gas prices can make us cringe right now! But in Malawi there is such a gas shortage that people are waiting in long lines for hours hoping to get filled up before that station runs out.
It is having a huge impact on daily life. Site visits for the Sunuzi Health Centre and village activities are planned carefully to ensure the most effective use of fuel. It makes for long days for the Malawi team and they appreciate prayers as they navigate these challenges 🙏

The cutest preschool graduates ready to take on life🎓

Generosity.
“Generosity is the quality of being kind, unselfish, and willing to freely give time, money, or resources to others without expecting anything in return.” (Merriam-Webster)
One cannot forget the experience of visiting Nandolo. To see the time and care invested in the preschool children. To hear their heart for expanding to offer more in the years ahead. To visit their homes on the hillside. All of it was so meaningful.
Then we were invited back for a small service and offering. The singing, dancing and celebration were beautiful, but nothing prepared me for the outpouring of generosity.
As we complete the Sunuzi Health Centre, and ask for an outpouring of generosity here in North America, my mind recalls the scene. The joyful dance and hands reaching out to give and receive. The abundance would go to bless others in a different area, a sharing of sustenance, a rich expression of love.

Volunteers are a crucial part of the preschool programs in Taulo and Nandolo. Preparing the meals, washing dishes and sewing outfits. Even the majority of teaching is done by volunteers. Day in and day out these dedicated ones choose to serve so the next generations have opportunities to learn and get a solid start in life. We are so grateful for each of them ❤️

As the opening of our new clinic draws closer, we’ve got Malawi’s incredible nurses on our minds. 🩺🇲🇼

Nurses are the backbone of healthcare here—the "unsung heroes" who bridge the gap between limited resources and life-saving care. From reducing maternal mortality to providing a lifeline for rural communities, their resilience and heart are what make healing possible. 🌿✨

We are so honored to soon work alongside these dedicated professionals who give so much to their country.
