We're looking for help! Years ago some limestone (white) head stones were removed from the Wood Cemetery off Highway #29 just outside of Smiths Falls (Rideau Lakes Township). Can you help us by sharing this post? We are hoping that someone in the area will know where these stones ended up, why they were removed or the biggest hope of all... to help us identify some of the unmarked graves at this cemetery. A local committee is hoping to breath life into the Wood’s Mausoleum by cleaning up and maintaining a dignified place where some of the town’s most influential residents rest in peace.
