There’s nothing better than when a customer texts and tells you they’re stuck in traffic but super excited to get home and play their tune piano!

It’s days like today that remind me why I love this job! MOSTLY!
Start by working all morning on a beautiful 9ft Steinway that I have had the privilege to maintain for almost 20 years, followed by a concert tuning on a beautiful 7ft Yamaha at the National Gallery, HOWEVER, I need to pick it up at midnight tonight, OH WELL!

I’ll be tuning this

I decided to ask Chatgpt if AI can tune a piano. Here's what it said...

Can AI fully replace a human tuner?
Not quite—at least not yet.
A piano isn’t just math:
Room acoustics matter
The instrument’s age and condition matter
Musical taste matters (different tuners aim for slightly different tonal “colors”)
So right now, AI is best seen as:
🎯 A precision tool that improves accuracy
⚙️ A guide for humans
🤖 Not a full replacement for expert ears and judgment
