WHERE MINISTRY ACTUALLY HAPPENS (IT'S NOT THE STAGE)

When you walk in the door, it's not about a pitch, it's about peace. Jesus said that when you enter a house, you first say, "Peace to this house" (Luke 10:5). Bring that to the table instead of an argument about something you saw online or the latest local politics.

That word, peace, means shalom, which is wholeness: everything in its place, nothing broken, and nothing missing. Say it over a home, and you're saying, "I want everything in this house to be the way God intended it to be."

Nobody ever went broke blessing a house. When you walk in and say, "Peace in this house," it becomes a prayer over that place, because speaking peace is a blessing.

Peace always comes back. Jesus said that if a house doesn't accept it, your peace will return to you (Luke 10:6). What a good deal. Keep bringing it.

Next, Jesus says to stay. Eat there, drink there, take part in whatever they give you, and don't move around from house to house (Luke 10:7). Ministry happens around those tables, in the homes where we stay long enough to connect.
