What do you do when God feels silent and the wait feels too long?

In the book of Habakkuk, we see a prophet who didn’t pretend everything was fine. He brought his raw questions straight to God. Instead of an immediate fix, God gave him a promise: "If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently; for it will surely take place."

The "dark night of the soul" isn't proof that God has abandoned you; it’s the exact place where real, unshakable faith is forged. Surrounded by uncertainty, grief, or unanswered questions, God’s call isn't for you to figure it all out. It’s simply to live by faith.

Living by faith means letting your trust in God fill the gaps between what you see and what is still unseen. God is actively at work, His purposes will be completed, and He knows what He’s doing, even when you’re in the dark. Don't give up. Station yourself on the watchtower, hold on, and trust the One who holds the timing.

Okanagan, our neighbours need us right now. 💙

With the recent Bradley Creek Wildfire displacements along W. Side Rd. in Vernon and over in West Kelowna, many families have had to leave their homes behind. A large number of those impacted are Indigenous families with limited resources, and as a team that is honoured to live and work on the unceded territory of the Okanagan syilx Peoples, we want to do everything we can to help.

We are organizing a community drive to collect essentials for these families as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

Here is how you can help:
- Gift Cards: Practical places like Superstore, Walmart, or local restaurants so families can buy clothes, food, and baby supplies.
- Baby Items: Diapers, wipes, formula, and other daily essentials.
- Monetary Donations: If you prefer to donate funds, we have set up a secure Square link (🔗 in our bio!), and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to purchasing gift cards and supplies.

Where to Donate:
We have a drop-off bin located right at the front door of our Lake Country office. We will be emptying the bin weekly and delivering supplies up until August 14th.

It’s easy to feel like we have to figure everything out on our own, but God’s call is much simpler: walk with Me.

This past Sunday, we were reminded that walking humbly with God isn't about perfection... it's about direction. He takes our past, lifts our heaviest burdens, and delights in showing us mercy every single step of the way.

If you’ve felt distant lately, take heart. The journey back isn't a stressful sprint; it's a daily, gentle walk back into the hands of a Father who loves you deeply and leads you well.

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." — Micah 6:8

Engage in our practice this week and take a moment to reflect: Can you name your gift?

What strength or success, relationship, ability or position are you most prone to build your identity or security upon in your life? And then take that thing and thank God for it. Remember that it came from Him. And that it is sustained by Him and it ultimately belongs to Him.

Your work matters but it can't carry your identity. Your wisdom matters but it does not place you beyond correction. Your success might give you influence but it doesn't make you superior. And your security is not found in any mountain beneath you or strength within you. Our security is found in the humble King who came down for us.
