God meets us in every moment — strengthening, restoring, and carrying us through. Rooted in this living hope, we go forward trusting in a love that holds us fast.
Please join us this Sunday to consider all of this.

Pentecost. An occasion of the church year that doesn’t get as much attention as Advent, Christmas, or Easter, but it is an occasion that is closely aligned to our daily life — because that’s when the Spirit appeared to signify God’s presence with us forever. Today we’ll identify with the disciples in the joy of receiving the Holy Spirit, and refresh our awareness of the work for which the spirit calls and empowers us. So come on along, wear red if you can, and be prepared to celebrate!

Hope isn’t just something we hold onto–it’s something that shapes the way we live. Our scripture this week gives us a new vision of what it means to be “blessed”: a life grounded in love, guided by the spirit and rooted in a hope that does not waver.

Please join us to consider all of this during the Easter season (the Easter season lasts for six weeks after Easter Day!)

We are supposed to live out the hope we have received at Easter. Peter says we are “living stones” being shaped and built into a community that reflects God’s presence in the world. How do we partner with God, offering ourselves and inviting the Spirit to work through us?

Please join us to consider all of this during the Easter season (the Easter season lasts for six weeks after Easter Day!)

The Easter story makes space for all the real and tender parts of our lives. We are not alone. We are held by the “guardian of our souls” who walks for us, tends to us, and does not turn away. Please join us to consider all of this during the Easter season (the Easter season lasts for six weeks after Easter Day!)

In our last Bible study session, we explored the Psalms of Lament, raw, honest prayers that give voice to grief, doubt, and longing. These psalms reminded us that bringing our struggles before God is not a lack of faith, but it’s part of the journey.

But, despite our best efforts, are there times when we need to admit that we’re not walking the road of life the way we’d like to? Next Wednesday, we’ll be discussing Psalms of Repentance, the prayers we use when we feel we aren’t measuring up to what we should be or could be. Come discover how Scripture teaches us to pray when words are hard to find. We’d love to have you with us. Come as you are. Bring your questions. Bring your story.

We have been made new through God’s love. We do not need to “get saved” because we have already been set free and are saved by God’s grace. But what do we do with that freedom?

Please join us to consider all of this during the Easter season (the Easter season lasts for six weeks after Easter Day!)

In this Easter season, we carry a special kind of joy, in spite of everything happening that can’t be described as “joyful”. After Jesus’ resurrection, what does it mean to live as a people of hope? And how does resurrection hope take root in our daily lives as we follow Jesus in a world longing for transformation?

Please join us to consider all of this during the Easter season (the Easter season lasts for six weeks after Easter Day!). And we’d welcome you to stay after service for some conversation and refreshments. (We will still be using disposable cups for a while, even though the water restrictions are over. Our dishwasher/sanitizer has broken down, and we will need to use disposables until that problem has been resolved.)

On Easter Sunday, we will be having a day of celebration of the resurrection! Come along and celebrate with us!
