Invitation to 2026 Identities Survey
You are being invited to complete The United Church of Canada’s 2026 Identities Survey about the people in your household. The 2026 Identities Survey is one important part of the United Church’s collective work on Toward 2035, a whole-church conversation about the future of God’s call to The United Church of Canada.
The survey is confidential. Your individual data will be accessed by 3 authorized paid accountable staff in The United Church’s General Council Office. Reported data will be aggregated (grouped) so that individuals are not identifiable. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Only one survey should be filled out per household.

One thing that we can be grateful for this October is the changes to the recycling program in Calgary. You likely heard that many more things are now part of the blue cart program, which will likely reduce the amount of waste you need to send to the landfill.
To help learn more about what can go in the blue cart, check out the fun little game called "Sort it Right!" This game is available through the City of Calgary and is a simple way to test your knowledge and learn some new things. It works on smart phones and tablets through the browser. Go to https://calgary.recycle.game/. Try it out a few times. You will get different items to sort!

As we come upon a time of remembrance and reflection for the freedoms and safety we enjoy as Canadians, the HCA would like to honour service members within our community or those who have impacted people within Hawkwood.

If you, a relative, or a loved one has served, or know/connect with the story of a local service member, please share with us. We will be displaying the photos and write ups along the path in the Hawkwood Community Park.

Any service is welcome, from historical people to active/reserve members today. The members do not need to have lived or been connected to Hawkwood - you're their connection.

Submissions are due by November 7.
*please note: previous years' submissions will be included. If you wish to remove your previous submission from being displayed, please email [email protected]
