Commons Church Intellectually honest. Spiritually passionate. Jesus at the centre. Sundays at 9AM, 1030AM, 1155AM in Kensington and 1030AM in Marda Loop.

As a Christian community that strives to live, play and help in the urban neighbourhoods of Calgary, we have chosen the name Commons Church to indicate our commitment to making the Kingdom of God tangible in our space. We believe God is invested in the renewal of all things therefore we want to live the "Good News" by being part of the rhythms of our city as good neighbours, good friends, and good citizens in the common life of Kensington.

This Sunday we had a privilege of participating in child baptisms and dedications alongside families. Here's a small part of Yelena's blessing for the children. Our pastoral team writes prayers and liturgy for our gatherings each week. Head to https://buff.ly/lHfVkPn to find full worship set lists, prayers, and other liturgy from Commons services.

Loving God,
Today we want to bless the children in our lives.
We love them, which means we often live
with this tension of surprising joy and sudden anxiety,
as our love and hope for them coexist
with concern and worry we have for them.
So as we hold this tension,
we bless them with curiosity and joy,
with daring and discovery,
as they fall in love with your creation
in their own unique and beautiful ways.
God, as they grow and become,
may they have a profound, unquestioned sense
of belonging in your world.
