What does true faith look like? Often, it looks like giving up control. 🙏

Just as Abraham had to surrender his plans and trust God with his journey into the unknown, we are called to do the same daily.

It is easy to want to stay in the driver’s seat of our own lives. But Jesus gives all His disciples a clear invitation:
"If anyone would come after me, let him take up his cross and follow me."

👇 We'd love to hear from you: How is God teaching you to trust Him and let go of control?

We invite you once again to reflect on the Lord’s Prayer this week, focusing on the second petition: “Thy Kingdom Come.”
Here is a beautiful and thoughtful collect from the Advent Ember Days in the 1962 Canadian Book of Common Prayer. It’s also included on the prayer sheet that is distributed in our weekly email.
Take a moment to pray it slowly and let it shape your prayers this week.
How is the prayer “Thy Kingdom Come” stirring your heart right now?

Yesterday, Rob challenged us to consider how praying the second petition of the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy kingdom come,” is actually a dangerous prayer.
When we pray it, we’re asking God to rule in our lives without rival… to take His rightful place while we take ours. Are we really ready for that? Are we prepared for our lives to “blow up” (in the best and most necessary way) as God shows up and reigns fully?
What do you think? Is “Thy kingdom come” a dangerous prayer for you right now?

As we go into this season focusing on prayer during our Lord's Prayer series, here is a helpful resource announced today!

Anglican House Publishers is a ministry partner of our province, the Anglican Church in North America, and the publisher of our province's prayer book, the 2019 BCP. With this new app, you can now have the 2019 BCP wherever you go!

The app can be found on the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dailyoffice2019.app&pcampaignid=web_share), and Apple's App Store (https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/the-daily-office/id1513851259).

Meet The Daily Office—a simple, beautiful way to pray the rhythms of the Church wherever you are.

With full audio, guided readings, and daily offices laid out for you, this app removes the friction and invites you into a steady life of prayer for morning, midday, evening, and nighttime. Built on the 2019 Book of Common Prayer, it connects you to the same patterns Christians have followed for generations.

Whether you’re new to liturgical prayer or have prayed it for years, this is a faithful companion for keeping time with God each day.

You can find it wherever you download your apps.

This week we invite you to reflect on the first petition of the Lord’s Prayer, Hallowed be Thy Name, using this thoughtful collect from the Seventh Sunday after Trinity, included on the prayer sheet Pastor Rob provided.
It’s a powerful prayer asking God to deepen our love for His holy name, strengthen our faith, and keep us rooted in His goodness and mercy.
We encourage you to take time this week to pray this collect during your prayer time this week and let it shape your heart.

Yesterday Joshua kicked off our series on the Lord's Prayer by discussing the petition, 'Hallowed be Thy Name,' drawing from Ezekiel 36:16-38.

In preparation for our new sermon series on the Lord's Prayer, here's a beautiful collect for the Spirit of Prayer.
May it draw our hearts closer to God as we gather to worship and learn from Jesus' own words.
We'd love to see you there—Sunday at 9:00 AM!
