💧 No service September 13, back to regular services starting September 20

No regular service this Sunday. We're back to normal times September 20.

Why? We share our building with the B'Nai Tikvah Jewish Community, and this Sunday is one of their biggest gatherings of the year.

So instead, Take Water to Your World:
→ Call a friend, go for coffee
→ Do something special for family
→ Volunteer somewhere you care about
→ Give to a cause that matters

Healthy spirituality shows up in the world. This Sunday, go to church without going to church.

No service. No schedule. Just Water.

Let Your Story Ignite

You have a story, the real one, not the Instagram version. And this Sunday we're talking about what happens when you finally let it out into the open, how one honest story, told or heard, can be the spark that gets you unstuck and moving again. You don't need a tidy ending or a lesson learned to make it worth telling. You just need to have lived it. If you've ever felt spiritually stuck and wondered what it would take to catch fire again, come find out this Sunday at 10:30 at the Spiritual Gym. Bring your story. You might be surprised what it lights up in you, and in someone else.

Socks For People Experiencing Homelessness
Collecting Socks - August 30th - October 11th

Socks for Those in Need

A simple pair of socks can make a meaningful difference for someone experiencing homelessness. With so much time spent walking to access food, services, and safe places to rest, clean, comfortable socks can provide much-needed protection, comfort, and dignity.

We’re collecting new socks, especially white sports socks, to share with people in need. You can bring socks to the church, donate online so we can purchase them, or sign up to help deliver them.

Let’s put comfort on someone’s feet and Take Water to our world.

Digital Idols - What we build when we're alone
Series Starts September 20th

There's a story in the Bible where a group of people, scared and directionless, melt down what they have and build a life-sized statue — then call it God. Weird enough on its own. Then you realize we do a version of this every time we ask an AI something existential.

What is it about being human that makes us build something more powerful than ourselves, and hand it the job of holding our lives together? A fear? A loneliness? A hunger for something more?

Digital Idols is six weeks on exactly that. We'll sit with the panic behind why people build substitutes in the first place — not to judge it, but to recognize it. We'll hold the golden calf up next to the chatbot and ask why we're drawn to anything that's always available, always agrees, and never leaves. We'll ask what a real relationship gives you that a substitute never will, no matter how convincing it gets. We'll talk about what happens when the thing — or the person — you're waiting on takes too long, and you fill the gap with something easier. And we'll land on the question nobody wants to answer: when the thing we built causes harm, who's responsible — the one who built it, or the one who kept coming back?

This series is about spirituality in the age of AI. What our substitutes reveal about our deepest fears, our deepest loneliness, and what we're actually starving for.

Don't miss this one. It's a Spiritual Gym workout that's going to change how you see yourself — and the world you've built around you. Put this into your calendar and invite someone in your life who might need this conversation right now.

The Bible, Reimagined

Some of us gave up on the Bible a long time ago. Too many crazy stories that don't seem to happen anymore, too many fights over what you're required to believe before you're even allowed to open it, too much of a "why does this even matter to my life today" feeling. So it sits on a shelf, more like a museum piece than something that could matter today. Here's why I still think it's worth picking back up: I see it as an ancient collection of writings from people wrestling with the exact same things we are. How do we navigate this life? Why do bad things happen to good people? Is there a purpose behind any of it? How do I live a good life? And so many more. You've probably got a few of your own.

So let's explore the Bible through a new lens, one where you don't need to already believe a word of it. Just bring an open mind and your own story. I'll show you a way into these old stories that might surprise you, one that could inspire the next stage of your spiritual journey.

Bring someone in your life who wants a way into the Bible that inspires their life today. See you at the Spiritual Gym
