To everyone who has ever felt rejected, tossed aside, abandoned by friends, bullied, outcast - to everyone who ever felt like the world was for “winners” and you were a “loser” - Good Friday is for you.

Thanks to everyone who came together at St Paul’s Oakville for The Hub Good Friday Service last night. It was an incredible time of worship, community, spiritual practices, and leaning into the Good news that our world’s idea of what a “winner” and a “loser” looks like is turned totally upside down by Jesus on this day.

Two great opportunities for uni students in our KW and Guelph to celebrate PIE Day!

Our friends at and are hosting a documentary screening on Friday night. 1946 traces the fallout from the RSV mistranslation that placed the word “homosexual” in the Bible for the very first time.

Over here at and we're cohosting a Saturday gathering for KW based students too.

Lots of churches too are celebrating PIE Day and their Public, Intentional, and Explicit affirmation of LGBTQIA+ experiences and identities.

🍕 🥧 Last year was a blast so we’re pre-heating the oven once again to start baking!

As always, we never turn down a chance to eat pizza and also pie. BUT there’s truly no better reason to chow down and hang out than to celebrate National affirming / P.I.E day 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈 on Saturday March 14! So many of our friends neighbours and family who are part of the q***r community face bigotry here in the north of Turtle Island so we’re gathering again this year to celebrate the joy of being in a diverse and affirming community together.

So come join The Hub, and other friends this month - we’ll gather to eat, hang out and chat about how we continue to be Public, Intentional and Explicit about affirming our 2sLGBTQIA+ siblings. If you know young adults in the KW area or at the Waterloo uni and college campuses looking to celebrate national Affirming day then invite them to eat and hang and celebrate with us from 5:30-7 at the chapel at .
