25 years of Pastor Merv at NBBC?! That deserves a huge celebration!

For a quarter of a century, Merv has faithfully led, encouraged, and walked alongside so many of us through life’s highs and lows. His heart for people and love for our church family has made NBBC what it is today.

And let’s be honest—we’ve also been blessed with 25 years of his legendary dad jokes and some unforgettable dance moves.

Merv, thanks for being real, for caring deeply, and for showing up year after year. We appreciate you more than we can say.

Thank you to the Burlington Fire Department for visiting our kids & youth, sharing a engaging presentation on fire safety, and your commitment to keep our community safe. It made a lasting impact on our kids and helped us end the year on a high note 🙌

"We are starting a new series today, it's called Law and Gospel. And once more, this is not a series I thought of preaching. This was Bennett, our student intern's idea, so if the series flops, it will be a valuable learning experience for Bennett. If the series succeeds, it will be a stroke of genius on my part."

On Sunday, we had the chance to celebrate several baptisms, and it was a special thing to witness.

Each person who stepped into the water brought their own story, journey, and reasons for taking this step. What they shared in common was a desire to follow Jesus and to make that decision known.

It was a meaningful reminder that faith is something we live out. North Burlington is thankful to be a community where people are continuing to take steps like this.

Yesterday, the Toronto Marlies hosted their very first Faith & Hockey Night, and a handful of NBBC hit the ice! 🏒

While the Marlies fell in overtime, we had an amazing time cheering them on, skating on the rink, and even making it onto the jumbotron! What a night to remember! 🙌✨
