Outreach & Missions
We are engaged in acting as the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching beyond ourselves to help others in our world. Our mission is to be involved with people in our own neighbourhood and extend God's love to the world. Children's Ministry (Treasured Kingdom Kids)
A fun, safe and friendly place for children to learn about God's love through Sunday morning ministry, Creative Arts, and interactive seasonal events. Youth Ministry
We want every youth to be a part of this awesome community, to feel loved and cared for, to have fun, and to explore and develop their relationship with God through youth group activities, leadership opportunities, missions, and confirmation. Adult Faith Ministry
Lives are transformed as we walk together on our faith journey, glorifying God in all that we say and do. Through small groups for men, women and couples, seminars and other events, we share lives and reveal God in our midst.

Love is not a personality trait.

It’s not just being warm.
Or kind.
Or the person who sends the good birthday text.

Love is a choice we make
when it would be easier to dismiss someone,
stay certain,
protect our comfort,
or keep a safe little distance.

To choose curiosity.
To choose connection.
To let another person’s humanity complicate our own.

That’s how freedom starts showing up:

not as some grand idea out there somewhere—

but in the very real decision
to keep finding ourselves
in one another.

We spend a lot of energy managing how we’re seen.

Filters.
Perfect angles.
Curated feeds.
AI-generated everything.
Entire digital lives carefully edited to make us look a little happier, shinier, more together than we actually feel.

Rev. Kim has some thoughts about that.

Because beneath all that pressure to present the right version of ourselves is a pretty important question:

What would happen if we just showed up as ourselves?

No filter. No performance. No carefully curated version.

Just human. Honest. A little unfinished.

Kim’s voice is an important part of our community, and we think this is something worth hearing. Give it a watch. 👀

PULL A JET. SUPPORT OUR FOOD PROGRAM.

Yes, an actual jet.

Join Team Food for Life at the United Way Plane Pull on Saturday, September 19, as we gather at Hamilton Airport to pull a massive cargo plane across the tarmac—and raise money for the good work happening through our Community Food Program.

It’s ridiculous. It’s wonderful. And it helps make sure our neighbours have access to food, connection, and care.

Want in? Sign up through the event website and join Food for Life Team.
Bring your strength, your friends, and get ready to tell your “I pulled a jet” story.

Good people follow the rules.

We're all taught that.

Except Jesus keeps breaking them.

So what if the moral life isn’t really about knowing how to behave, but knowing what ultimately matters?

This week we explored a story all about that and heard a sermon about rules, love, moral identity, and the wonderfully inconvenient question:

What serves life here?

Find it on Youtube, Spotify, and our website.

what’s it mean to be good?

We are diving into that question this week at our Sunday Service as we look at a story that can help shape our understanding of moral identity and what it really means to be a good person living a good life.

Everyone belongs here at Wellington Square United Church.

If you’re looking for a family friendly inclusive church that’s all about connecting with God, each other, and ourselves, & exploring the way of Jesus together, come and join us.

Kids and youth programs are happening too so bring the whole family!

It all starts at 10am in downtown Burlington Ontario.

Food insecurity is not a personal failure.

It is what happens when the things people need to live - food, housing, care, dignity - get treated like privileges instead of rights.

And so we show up.

Every week, our Community Food Program is one small, practical way of pushing back: making sure people have food, a good meal, connection, and a place where they are welcomed without having to earn it.

It won’t solve every broken system.

But it matters.

Because nobody should have to be hungry in a world with enough.

Find out more about our Food program online or join us on a Friday anytime between 10-3. Lunch is served at 12.

Not every spiritual practice requires a candle, a special app, or the ability to sit perfectly still while pretending your lower back isn’t screaming.

Sometimes caring for your soul looks remarkably ordinary.

A walk.
An honest conversation.
A little silence.
A messy prayer.
A few breaths deep enough to remind you that you’re still here.

Pick one. Life can be a lot and you deserve a break.

It's true.

Christianity sometimes gets reduced to a love that's all about being kind, compassionate and pleasant.

And that's good stuff, but the thing is, Jesus didn't only practice that kind of love. He also practised a love that confronted hypocrisy, crossed boundaries, disrupted systems and stood beside people religion had pushed aside.

Love can be gentle ... and love can flip a table.
Love can be patient ... and love can call out evil.
Love can be quiet ... and love can be loud.

Wisdom is learning which one the moment requires.

There are a lot of ways to be part of this place that have nothing to do with sitting in a pew on Sunday morning.

Cooking. Welcoming. Singing. Caring. Teaching. Fixing. Organizing. Leading. Showing up. It all matters and is all a way to be a part of your church.

On September 20 + 27, stick around after the Sunday service for our Volunteer Fair.

Meet the people behind the different ministries at WSUC, see what they're up to, and find a place where your interests, skills, curiosity, or willingness to help might fit.

You don't have to do everything. **Just find somewhere to begin.**
