Impactus MEN. GOD. A LIFE OF IMPACT. Equipping men for a life of purpose and godly impact.
(1)

For over 25 years, we have been at the forefront of calling men to follow Jesus Christ, and to be men who will have a godly impact in their families, workplaces, churches, and communities. The history of the ministry has been about seeing men come to us—primarily through our men’s conferences. The future is about expanding our impact and influence by being faithful to Jesus’ command—“Go and make disciples.”

When discipling another man, here are a few things you can talk about:

• Talk about Scripture.
• Talk about your life.
• Ask good questions.

Discipleship doesn’t have to be complicated. Consistent, honest conversations centered on Christ can have a lasting impact.

Bible Verse: “We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become

You don’t need to be miles ahead of those you disciple; you just need to invite them along as you follow Jesus, walking alongside them as honestly as possible.

Don’t settle for teaching content. Teach them with your honest example. Invite them to imitate you as you imitate Christ and show them what it looks like in real life.

Bible Passage: “You know how we lived among you for your benefit, and you yourselves became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe

Brothers, you are worshipers whether you realize it or not.

You were created to worship, and so everything about you is worship. How you live your life reveals who and what you worship.

Worship is often misunderstood or misrepresented, so many men have a skewed perspective on its role, importance, and scope.

Today, we want to share three reasons why your worship matters more than you think.

Brothers, you are worshipers whether you realize it or not. You were created to worship, and so everything about you is worship. How you live your life

If you want to make disciples, the place to start is by becoming a disciple yourself. It’s a lifelong adventure.

Not only will it change your life, but it will lay a foundation for discipling other men, too.

Bible Passage: “Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your

What is the best thing you can do with your life?

Almost everything a man does will disappear one day.

Someone has compared what will happen when we’re gone to what happens when we remove our hand from a bucket of water. The void will disappear, and nobody will know that we were even there.

Men live with a desire to make a lasting difference with our lives.

Bible Passage: “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy

One of the most frustrating things in life is following a plan and having it not work out.

Unfortunately, this is also a reality in relationships. You can follow God’s way of doing things, but it does not guarantee everything will work out the way God designed a relationship to work.

Reconciliation always requires both sides to be willing.

So what do you do when God’s way doesn’t seem to work?

Bible Passage: “If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” (Romans 12:18 CSB) Scripture Reading: Romans 12:16-21; 1 Peter 5:7

Passive men wait for the other person to make the first move. Faithful men make the first move themselves.

This is such a serious issue to Jesus that He teaches us to do this before we come to worship God. Reconciliation with people sets the foundation for worship that will be honoring to God. Your ability to have a proper relationship with God is directly connected to an appropriate relationship with others.

Before you ignore or get frustrated by this command, remember this is what Jesus did for you.

Bible Passage: “…First go and be reconciled with your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:24 CSB) Scripture Reading: Matthew

When a relationship is broken, our first instinct is often fight-or-flight. We become passive and withdraw from the relationship, or we become angry and push for what we want.

Neither option represents the way of Jesus.

The starting point in reconciliation is to be honest about how you contributed to the breakdown of the relationship.

Bible Passage: “First take the beam of wood out of your eye …” (Matthew 7:5 CSB) Scripture Reading: Matthew 7:1-5; 1 John 1:9 Yesterday, we looked at how

If honesty and authenticity are so important to our growth and development as men, why is it so difficult for men to get there?

Why do so many men struggle to open up?

We know that “lying lips are an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 12:22). Yet, many men walk around every day telling the false story that “Everything is great!” while closing their bedroom doors at night and wrestling with their pain, brokenness, and battles—alone.

So what’s going on?

This month, Impactus told me I could write about "anything I wanted" related to men’s mental health. Anything, eh? That’s a lot of options. I’m sitting at

When you understand who the real enemy is, you will be free to see the other person the way Jesus wants you to see them and free to take the steps God wants you to take.

To some people, fixing a broken relationship means “I might have to lose out while the other person wins.”

But in reality, fixing a broken relationship means the devil loses out, and you both win.

This truth can be a game-changer for you and help you tackle reconciliation God’s way.

Bible Passage: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood …” (Ephesians 6:12 CSB) Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:11-18 Do you ever feel like the

This week, we are going to journey through the Bible to see what God has to say about fixing broken relationships and what it means for men.

Bible Passage: “It is not good for the man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18 CSB) Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:8-25; Genesis 3:1-24 Is there anything more
