This Sunday we conclude our journey through Joshua, we arrive at Joshua’s final challenge to Israel: “Choose this day whom you will serve” (24:15). After years of battle, struggle, failure, grace, and victory, Joshua reminds God’s people of one great truth: God has been utterly faithful.

Every promise he made has been fulfilled. The question now is whether his people will remain faithful to him.

In our last final sermon of this series we will recall the big ideas of Joshua: God’s promises, courageous obedience, the danger of compromise, the importance of remembering, and the call to wholehearted devotion. Joshua shows us that the Christian life is not passive but a daily choice to trust and obey God, even when the world pulls us in other directions.

Most importantly, Joshua points us to Jesus - the greater Joshua - who defeats our deepest enemies, bears the curse of our unfaithfulness at the cross, and leads us into true rest. In him, all God’s promises find their “Yes.”

As we finish this series, we’ll hear Joshua’s urgent invitation afresh: Will we fear the Lord more than the world? Will we choose life, blessing, and faithfulness?

Christians have been celebrating Holy Communion or The Lord’s Supper since the very beginning of the New Testament church. But why do we celebrate it and why as Anglicans do we celebrate it in the way that we do?

Come and celebrate with us this Sunday @ 9:30am
