This week we being a new series called Proclaim, examining six sermons in Acts, and looking at what they proclaimed about Jesus and the Gospel. Pastor Ben will start the series, looking at Peter’s proclamation in Acts 4, after he and John were arrested for healing a lame man on the Sabbath, claiming that Jesus is the only means for salvation.
Join us for it this Sunday!

This weekend is Palm Sunday at Como Baptist. It will be a special kids-focused service built around the theme Jesus Has Power Like No Other.

Through songs, storytelling, actions, and a simple reflection activity, we’ll celebrate Jesus as the one who is stronger than death, full of compassion, and worthy of our praise.

It will be a joyful, interactive morning for all ages as we begin the journey toward Easter together.

We invite you to join us for our services in person. If you cannot make it, we encourage you to join us on YouTube for a live stream of our services. comobaptist.org.au/live

How do you keep trusting God when life feels uncertain? Last Sunday, Ben preached from Esther 9 and reminded us that remembering what God has already done can become present strength for our faith. If you missed it, go back and have a listen. comobaptist.org.au/sermons

Are you living with main character energy? Last Sunday, Shelby preached from Esther 5 and 6 and reminded us that true courage is not about taking control of the story, but trusting the God who already holds it. If you missed it, this message is well worth a listen. comobaptist.org.au/sermons

This Sunday we start looking at the book of Esther.

Have you ever wondered where God is when He seems quiet? The book of Esther is unique in that God is never mentioned by name, yet His hand is unmistakably at work. Over the next four weeks, we’ll explore how God is already at work in the background of our lives, how to discern His call when clarity feels limited, how to act with courage without forcing outcomes, and how remembering His faithfulness strengthens our trust for what lies ahead. Esther invites us into a steady and resilient faith, not dramatic heroics. Confident trust in a God who is never absent, even when He seems unseen.

This week is both Community Sunday and our last part of our Why We Do What We Do series, looking at Why We Gather. From Hebrews 10, we’ll discover why meeting together isn’t just tradition, but essential to our life in Christ as God grows and strengthens us through one another.

As a Community Sunday, the service will be interactive and intergenerational, with a short message and a practical activity designed for all ages. Come ready to participate, encourage one another, and experience what it means to truly be the church together.

Last Sunday Shelby explored why we baptise and what it really means. It tells the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and of our own new life in him. We were invited to reflect on whether we are living fully immersed in that grace and freedom, and for those who have not yet been baptised, to consider taking that step of faith and public declaration. Watch it back at comobaptist.org.au/sermons

If you are interested in being baptised, we are currently running Baptism Sessions. Get in contact with us - either comment BAPTISM below, send us an email or a dm, or speak to us in person about joining in.

Last Sunday Ben continued our Why We Do What We Do series by exploring the practice of giving and tithing. Rather than focusing on amounts or obligation, we reflected on how generosity shapes our hearts and forms our trust in God. We were reminded that everything we have comes from God, and that giving is one of the ways we learn to put Him first, trust His provision, and participate in what He is doing among us.
